Monsters with a blood-thirsty insatiable or rebel with a cause? Robots blind on a series of murders or humans fighting for the greater good? More importantly, patriotic or terrorist?
These issues, perhaps posed a dilemma to many debaters and arises as a topic to think deeply about the discussions of importance. However, it cannot be denied that terrorists, “noble” or other, caused an unthinkable amount of suffering everywhere where they put their devious mechanisms prepares. Ranging from genocide to make Governments to collapse to air raids and many more, terrorist worldwide massacred millions on behalf of religion and what is called ‘Glory’. While the weight they carry is enough to strike terror in the hearts of the people, their actions have achieved much more than that! Out of all the many terrorist groups operating in various unfortunate corners of the world, following is the most deadly present.
10. IRISH REPUBLICAN ARMY
A revolutionary organization in Ireland, it was formed by the Irish Volunteers (founded in 1913). The IRA has been responsible for waging a war of independence against the British in the period 1919-21. The war of independence was an extremely brutal affair and there were heavy losses on both sides. Having been trained as a guerrilla unit, the IRA was paid in quick attacks and ambushes. With the end of the war, the Anglo-Irish Treaty was signed which resulted in a split in the IRA - those who supported the Treaty are known as the Irish national army and the rest are remained affiliated with the IRA. A civil war followed the inevitable result of the fault and the IRA lost. Since then, the Group remained in existence with the sole intention to overthrow the free State of Ireland and Northern Ireland in order to realize the dream of the Republic of Ireland. The IRA were responsible for numerous car bombings and assassinations (including the assassination of Lord Mountbatten in 1979).
9. NAXAL
That takes its name from the village of Naxalbari in West Bengal, originated the Naxalites are mostly associated with the Communist Party of India (Maoist) or CPI - M. At the present time, States such as Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh have also been victim of the growth of this group. Their origin lies in a violent uprising, which was led by Kanu Sanyal in 1967 to redistribute land to the landless. At the present time, although reduced in number, the Naxalites continue to operate, killing policemen, civilians and security personnel. They had been stigmatized by Dr. Manmohan Singh as the “great threat to national security”.
8 .THE HEZBOLLAH
A militant group of Shia’ based ist to the Lebanon, they are regarded as more powerful than the Lebanese army. Founded by Muslim clerics (pierced by Ayatollah Khomeini), Hezbollah was founded mainly to fight the Israeli occupation of Lebanon in 1982. Their goal was well defined in what they wanted to expel any kind of Western (especially American) presence of Lebanon, as well as Western allies. Hezbollah is known to receive the training and financing of the Iran and is also supported by the Syria. The attacks of 1983 on the U.S. Embassy in Lebanon, the hostage crisis Lebanon from 1982 to 1992, the attack of the Israeli Embassy in London in 1994, AC flight 901 attack in 1994 to the Panama, and many many more terrorist activities have been credited to this terrorist group.
7. BOKO HARAM
An Islamist group activist in Nigeria, this group is known to receive funding from Al-Qaida. Extremely vocal on their intolerance towards Western education, Boko Haram had recently been in the news for the removal of some 200 young Nigerian. Boko Haram has literally means “Western education is a sin”. Alleged Boko Haram have their hands on some 5000 civilians kill between 2009 and 2014. Boko Haram, founded originally as a Sunni Islamic Group, have advocated extremely intolerant Sharia in the places of their stronghold. Threatening to overthrow the Government, they become extremely open to Western culture, Boko Haram known to spread terror by killing individuals who engage in non-Islamic practices, for example drink alcohol. The founder of the sect, Mohammed Yusuf, said in an interview that the theory of the earth being round should be dismissed because it was propagated by the West. A failure on part of the nigerian Government to deal with their growing militancy, Boko Haram was also responsible for the bomb attack at the headquarters of the United Nations in Abuja in June 2011.
6. FARC
Forças Armadas Revolucionarias Colombia or by the FARC (Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia) was created in the 1960s. They claim to be an army of Marxist-Leninist peasants with an ulterior motive of anti-imperialism. Kidnapping, extortion, illegal mining is the regular activities of the FARC. The Colombian Government recognizes FARC as a terrorist organization, as well as many other North American Governments, Latin American and European. In 1962, the Colombian Government, acting on the U.S. conclusions, had mobilized civilian groups to work in cooperation with the army in the fight against the threat posed by the FARC. It was Lazo’s Plan, which had been set in motion by the Commander then Special Warfare, William P. Yarborough. In 2002, it was discovered that the IRA and the FARC had an understanding between them - the IRA had received almost $2 million, resulting from drug trafficking, by the FARC. FARC has been attributed to many assassinations, bombings and assassinations in Colombia attacks and have been marked as one of the most significant trafficking organizations drug world in the world. 5. ISIS
The Islamic State of Iraq and the Syria is a Sunni jihadist group based in the Middle East. Their recent actions have prompted USA, UK, Germany and many other countries to launch various operations aims to infiltrate their ranks and fight against their growing insurgency.
4. TEHRIK-I-TALIBAN
Also known under the name of Tehrik I Taliban Pakistan, it is part of the various Islamist groups operating on the Afghan border in Pakistan. Its aims include overthrowing the Pakistani Government, battling the forces of NATO in Afghanistan and enforce Sharia law. Led by Maulana Fazlullah, the TTP is not directly affiliated with the Taliban (in Afghanistan). Car square 2010 time bombing attempt was a company suspected of TTP. The TTP claimed responsibility for many attacks which include suicide bombings, shelling of the United Nations offices in Pakistan, the stations of the Pakistan army and naval attack, etc.
3. AL-QAIDA
Founded by Osama bin Laden, Abdullah Azzam and other militants, the al-Qaida seeks to unite Muslims around the world to the global jihad and a strict interpretation of Sharia. Al-Qaida is a Wahhabi organization. Al-Qaeda had a role to play in the opening 11 attacks, the 1998 US Embassy bombings and the 2002 Bali bombings. Although the death of Osama bin Laden has proved to be a setback in their activities, they are still the deadliest among all these groups in the world. Their way to carry out many missions feature is to employ suicide bombers or suicide missions. Their attacks are also known to be sectarian in nature. The Ashura massacre and the April 2007 Baghdad bombings are a testimony to. The 1993 World Trade Center bombing was also conducted by al-Qaeda. They are known to be extremely influential and were alleged to have several aircraft including Boeing 727 and business aircraft.
2. LASHKAR-E-TaiBA
One of the most famous groups currently operating, the Lashkar-e-Toiba is most infamous for the Mumbai attacks on 26 November, 2008. He was responsible for the death of many civilians, and he left the marked nation. Alleged links with the Pakistani secret service, the ISI, had resulted in a flagrant violation of sovereignty (although the Pakistani Government has disavowed any involvement). 2001 Indian Parliament attack was also carried out by the same group. 1. TALIBAN

The Taliban has its origins in the struggle against the Soviets that the United States carried out on Afghan soil. The Taliban has been mobilized by the USA (and formed by ISI) to liberate Afghanistan from the clutches of the Soviet Union. Was the author of some of the worst violations of human rights (ranging from ethnic cleansing, rape of women, etc.) in Afghanistan (in power) the Taliban are certainly among the deadliest terrorist groups in the world at the present time.
